Plan Interrupted

I had a vision.  I saw a nicely set table.  It was beautiful.  It had place settings, food and a crisp white linen table cloth.  Everything was set and ready to be enjoyed.  All that was missing were the attendants.  I walk into the room and the appearance and smell was delightful. As I walked towards the table to find my seat, in the blink of an eye, what was once so beautiful was flipped upside down.  The food and dishes were everywhere and broken.  This is how I felt like my life looked.  I felt that everything was so perfectly set and ready for the dinner bell to ring.   Little did I know His plans were much different. It reminds me of when we first started this journey of saying "Yes," I would call it our beautiful mess. A Life of Wonder...The Lost Dream

I find it being no coincidence that I have run across a number of people questioning their passion and dreams for their life.  They have found themselves walking through a life of wonder.  The majority of them have worked hard to achieve degrees, careers or families but there's something missing.  Even in the midst of all the good taking place there seems to be a void. I was walking through this with someone the other day and reverted back to an exercise during a teaching I heard. We were asked to close our eyes and think back when we were a kid.  We were then asked, "What did you dream of wanting to be?" We all sat in silence and tried to remember that specific dream, goal or achievement.  We all opened our eyes and went around the room calling out what that one thing was.
